Barrs helps us think through how we understand creativity and the arts in the light of who God is and how he has created the world. He explores some interesting questions, such as: Why does art matter? How does art help us understand more about who God is? How is a writer’s calling different with God in the picture? At the end are a number of chapters that consider different authors and how their work echoes biblical truths. You could use his framework for analysing these writers to look at how a Christian worldview makes sense of a particular author or text.
